All-Ukrainian School Olympiad in Astronomy
The national school competition in astronomy, run in stages from individual schools up to the national final, which is organised by the National Centre "Junior Academy of Sciences of Ukraine".
About
The olympiad runs in four stages: school, district, regional and the national final. Pupils solve theoretical and observational problems, and the strongest of them go on to form the Ukrainian team for the International Olympiad on Astronomy and Astrophysics (IOAA).
The competition has continued through the full-scale war, with rounds held online where necessary. It is one of the main channels through which Ukrainian astronomy finds and supports its future students.
The final stages are organised by the National Centre "Junior Academy of Sciences of Ukraine", together with the Ministry of Education and Science.
